Heavy cargo transportation specialists, Project Professionals Group, has announced that BBC Chartering Australia Pty Ltd is the first major sponsor of its 10th anniversary annual conference in Melbourne next year.
The conference will be held in Australia for the first time from 6-8 September, 2017, at The Langham Hotel in the heart of Melbourne’s renowned Southbank Promenade entertainment precinct.
PPG General Manager said BBC Chartering, as part of its sponsorship package, would deliver a presentation during the conference to update PPG members about ocean carriage services and capabilities for heavy lift and project cargoes.
Mr Stephens said the conference sponsorship presentations would be very timely as Australia geared up to implement the federal government’s planned AUS$5 billion investment in major public transport projects.
“The Australian government’s announcement that it will invest in major projects to develop new road, rail and infrastructure links is a shot in the arm for project forwarders with experience in supporting major engineering, procurement and construction managers,” Mr Stephens said.
He said that two of the largest projects are set to be Melbourne Metro and Sydney Metro, which will share in half the funding.
Meanwhile, registrations are now open for the next Project Forwarding Certificate during the Breakbulk Americas education program in Houston from 26-27 September this year, and Breakbulk Middle East in Abu Dhabi 23-24 October.
The training course is ISO accredited and also certified by the Project Management Institute (Arabian Gulf Chapter), and all participants receive a one-day entry pass into the Breakbulk Expo hall. Group discounts are available.
Further information about the course, including testimonials and registration, is available at Project Professionals Group and Breakbulk Americas
