Overdimensional heavy-lift specialists Project Professional Group enjoyed a very successful 8th annual conference in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, with the support of local member for Spain Stier ShipAgency.

Conference guest speakers included the Port of Corpus Christi; Ida Stier, Stier Shipagency (Grupo Stier); Juan José Cardona – Mayor, Ayuntamiento (City Hall) de Las Palmas; Las Palmas Port Authorities; Beatriz Barrera Vera, President of the Consortium of the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC); Manuel Herrera, President – ATEIA (Association Transitarios Expedidores Internacionales Asimilados; and new member presentations from International Shipping Limited, Trinidad and Tobago; and Baselogístika/ICI Proyectos.

PPG General Manager Kevin Stephens also advised members and sponsors that the next industry Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management course would be held from 5-6 October, 2015, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in conjunction with Breakbulk Americas in Houston.

Registrations are also open for the ISO accredited training course on October 25-26 during Breakbulk Middle East in Abu Dhabi.
