PPG appoints new member in West Indies

Overdimensional logistics network, the Project Professionals Group, has appointed International Shipping Limited as its new member for Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies. PPG’s General-Manager Kevin Stephens said International Shipping Limited (ISL) had expanding into one of the leading forwarders in the region with a professional staff of 60 since its establishment in 1997. “ISL offers specialised expertise in intermodal transportation with additional services such as marine insurance and tariff consultancy for projects from any part of the world to and from Trinidad and Tobago,” Mr Stephens said. ISL has its head office in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and operates a bonded warehouse facility in El Socorro, San Juan, Trinidad. They are also line agents for Evergreen Line. Mr Stephens said ISL Projects Director Christian Laughlin and Special Projects Manager Marcus Best were graduates of the Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management professional development course recently held in Houston during Breakbulk Americas. Registrations are now open for the next training course from 17-18 March, 2015, at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo Hotel during Breakbulk China.
