Breakbulk Americas workshop offers training for project forwarders

A two day training course in the lead-up to Breakbulk Americas in Houston this October is designed for those working in project forwarding to develop or refresh their management skills.

The ISO accredited Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management course runs from 5-6 October, 2015, at the George R. Brown Convention Center and includes a one-day pass to the Breakbulk exhibition hall.

Expert presenters include the founder and general manager of global project forwarding network Project Professionals Group Kevin Stephens with over 40 years industry experience, and professional business communications consultant and university educator Rodger Hall.

Mr Stephens said case studies and exercises provided a hands-on learning experience for those working in the overdimensional transportation supply chain sector.

Training sessions include project cargo risk management, managing strategic partnerships, traffic and logistics functional planning, meeting client expectations, biosecurity, working with shipping intermediaries and brokers, responding to tenders, and professional business writing.

Investment in the two-day training is US$1,800 per person; US$1,650 for 2 – 3 persons; US$1,500 for 4 or more persons.
